About us

The Seismic Observatory of Ecuador (OSSE) aims to promote research, education and discussion on Seismic Engineering and Seismology, with the aim of contributing to the dissemination of a culture of seismic prevention in Ecuadorian territory.

The OSSE has accelerographs installed in the Southern Region of Ecuador, which allow for recording ground movement, identifying seismic demand on structures and monitoring the seismic response of civil buildings. Users will be able to contribute to the platform through the development of new computer tools, as well as making contributions in the sections: Technical Blog and Academic Resources. All comments, observations and suggestions from users are welcome.
